Online safety campaign wins Best Social Media Campaign in Charity/Public Sector/Education /Not for Profit Award at the Social Media Awards
The Safeguarding Board for NI and Police Service NI have jointly won a ‘best social media campaign’ award in the Northern Ireland Social Media Awards 2024. The campaign was coordinated through the SBNI Online Safety Committee and delivered under the NI Executive’s Online Safety Strategy. It ran from January to March 2024 and aimed to educate young people and their parents and carers about online risks and reporting pathways focusing on sextortion blackmail, online grooming and risks around young people sharing nudes online. The online safety campaign will extend further in the coming months.
